I'm running the river at the bottom of the grand canyon next month, and will be offline for 14 days. I want to take my Fitbit Inspire and have it sync with the phone so I don't lose any data. However, in experimenting with it, it seems like it won't sync when in airplane mode, or with mobile data off on the phone. Is there anyway to make it sync, or just turn on mobile data without a connection?
Thanks, John

Hi @JohnH-718. Just to clarify, your Fitbit stores seven days of detailed data and up to 30 days of summary data. Your Fitbit syncs to your account and data isn't stored on the phone. You must have an internet connection to sync.
This might help: Is there cell service in the Grand Canyon?

Hi, @JohnH-718, welcome to the community, I do not know what cellphone coverage in the Grand Canyon is but you may be able to research your carrier's coverage online. You will find that your Inspire 3 can store up to 30 days of data and sync to the server as soon as you acquire an internet connection. Bear in mind Airplane mode disables WiFi, Bluetooth & cell, in your circumstances, you should always have a Bluetooth connection to your phone.
I hope this helps.
Cheers

Oh also I will be at the bottom of the canyon the whole time and they tell us to not expect any service. I'm guessing their might be wifi at the halfway spot where there is a store and so on.
Thanks!
John
