The latest update is terrible and the sleep data is horrible. Time to buy an Apple Watch!

Sleep data is horrible.

I preferred the old sleep data format, but the new one is usable, as long as the sleep cycle data is actually captured and presented. However, the typical range indicators are missing on the chart when viewing the benchmarks.

Fitbit monitors my sleep only occasionally I have it for that specific function.
It was charged 100% yesterday and today it wouldn’t start - black screen. Plugged it in to charge & it was on 3%! I didn’t do anything yesterday except check the time. I’m worried it’s about to die on me … after 2 months

Update to the sleep app is terrible. I use it for sleep studies, and why I use the Fitbit. Now I can't monitor defined start & stop sleep periods - Why mess with it?
Update: It's been moved to the 'Live Track'. Just pressing the + will show the manual start & stop sleep option.

Google/Fitbit new motto: If it ain't broke, break it.
New sleep chart is terrible, not only the color scheme but also the fact that you can't see the times that begin and end the stages. Not to mention the benchmark function is gone. The old one was very easy to read, this one seems really busy and confusing. I've been a Fitbit user for 9 years and this last down-date may be the final straw and I'll have to move on to something else.
I was afraid of this when I heard Google had acquired Fitbit and it seems like I was right. Come on, Google, try asking users what they want before you arbitrarily change things.

I agree. I do not like the new sleep graph. Go back to what we had before.

@ManuFitbit - Hello, there is another thread with this same complaint (someone marked as answered), but there are 100’s of comments and votes on it.
The latest update makes the sleep information basically useless. The color changes to the exercise tracker are also horrible.
PLEASE PLEASE CHECK IT OUT.
Sadly people are leaving Fitbit faster than they are joining, which is so sad because I used to love mine, but all the “updates” seem to be ruining the best features.

I also dislike the new update to the sleep tracker, it's horrible, graphically, information wise and in every other way everyone elase mentions. I see that you also can no longer edit your sleep and wake up times.. the tracker does get it wrong sometimes, and last night was one of them. No matter where I look it can't be corrected, unlike the old one.
Please change it back or I won't be fitbit wearer anymore after 10 years...

It appears that sleep times can be edited on the Fitbit online dashboard.
I assume that those edited sleep times can then be synced to the app after that.

Good News. I accidentally touched the + symbol on the bottom right by accident. Didn't know it opened the 'Live Track' section. In it contained the manual timed sleep option that was missing in the main sleep section after the update. So glad to monitor my deep meditation again.

I am an Apple household, so I would hands down buy an Apple Watch if they would come out with something sized more like the Inspire. I don’t want a smaller version of my phone on my wrist—I merely want the time, a fitness tracker, and a means to notify me when I’ve received a text.
I wish someone would finally realize this gap in the market and do something good about it.

Hope thee people who made this change didn’t get a bonus

I could not agree with you more. Customer service doesn’t seem to care about my complaint.
definitely time for an Apple Watch.
