Elliptical tracking

I recently bought an Inspire 3.  When I used the elliptical yesterday, it tracked my exercise but continued tracking until I noticed it was still tracking when I got home.  My old charge 2 used to track the elliptical once I started on the elliptical and automatically stop recording once I finished.  Is there any way to set up the Inspire 3 to only record while I’m on the machine or will I need to manually stop it once I’m finished.

Hi @RAP1955   Your Inspire 3 has a feature that wasn’t on the Charge 2.  It will auto-start the Exercise app for six shortcuts: walk, run, bike, elliptical, rowing, and spinning.  This is how to turn it off:

  • Swipe left/right on your Inspire 3 screen to the Exercise app and tap on it.
  • Swipe up through the workout list, find elliptical, and tap on it.
  • Swipe up to go to the settings like Start with a goal.
  • Look for Auto-start and toggle it off.

Your Inspire 3 has SmartTrack, so you can use it on your elliptical like always.

I like the auto start but I was asking about an auto stop. Thanks.

@RAP1955   Please look farther down in that settings list and look for an Auto-stop toggle.  It is available on my Sense 2 Exercise app.  It might or might not be available to you.

Thanks. It looks like it was already set to auto stop but I toggled it off and on just to make sure. I’ll see if it works later when I’m at the gym.
