I’ve been adding food intake and the information is not showing in the calorie count, it’s staying at zero
Moderator edit: clarified subject.
I realized that my phone was not syncing with the Fitbit. I went into the account and performed a refresh and the data uploaded. I entered in additional information and it just hangs until I close and reopen the app. I have apple device not sure what could be the issue on the android

Best AnswerI followed these steps and the problem seems to be corrected.
UPDATE: The problem is back this morning. My breakfast calories were entered but did show up on the dashboard. I forced the sync and breakfast calories disappeared from the calories page.

I followed the steps provided and I still have the issue. Data is collected but does not automatically update unless a refresh is done.

I’m experiencing same problem, since Fitbit staff is involved now they should be able to resolve it soon. We’ve had similar situations in the past and it was taken care of within a few days.

Same for me. I think it has something to do with the new preview app they are getting ready. I signed up for the preview but so far I guess adding food is not an option. Wonder if they are taking that away unless you have premium…

And I am not a jogger! I need to fix that…if I can figure it out!

I’m sure the title of jogger may have something to do with how you initially input your setup information. I’m not very tech savvy but I’m sure if you google how to change it or look on YouTube there will be a way to make the adjustment.

Jogger is your level in the community based on your activity and posts. It doesn't have to do with your preferred workout method.

I'm not in the preview. I have premium currently.

I appreciate the info, I was replying to bswpb as she had mentioned it in her post and was just giving her some feedback on how to possibly change her status as she isn’t a jogger

Best AnswerI'm not currently in the preview app. I'm hoping they find a fix for the current phone app soon. My watch syncs to the phone app fine for the info it records but any food intake I add to the phone app doesn't provide the expected results within the app.
Best AnswerYes, I hear ya. I’m still experiencing the same issue. Hopefully they are attempting to find the issue.
Best AnswerI sure hope so, but ever since the last issue where it took Google more than 2 weeks to fix the calorie deficit issue, I'm not holding my breath! But I do hope you are right because it's getting annoying to have to manually refresh all the time.
Best AnswerOh, you might be on to something about the New App Preview...I totally forgot I signed up for that! and I remember being annoyed their was no food part to preview yet. Oh and I think "Jogger" is just a level of user you are, like showing how much you participate in discussions I think...like mine says recovery runner, whatever that is, ha!
Best AnswerI am now convinced the FitBit Development team is a bunch of wankers. Looking at all these comments and other threads related to this issue, purely clueless. Same issue across IoS, Android for weeks now.
In Google Spirit! Do whatever they want, with zero consumer/customer focus
Good Morning Oli4Fit,
Don’t give up so easily, the World wasn’t built in a day and I’m sure they will have this issue resolved before gas prices come down.
I view it as a simple setback and as long as the refresh is keeping me going I have that much in my corner. It is very easy to create something but Oh so hard to duplicate.
Best AnswerI guess the community’ is supposed to be able to answer all these questions! Don’t ya know? Only reason I keep it is because it syncs to my insurance.

I just upgraded this weekend to the Fitbit 6, all my data transferred over properly. I am still having the issue with the food data not automatically uploading/syncing when entered I have to log out and back in before it updates.
is there any action on what could be the cause?
