GPS/ Distance suddenly stopped recording precisely

My Inspire 3 suddenly stopped recording distance properly 3 days ago.  Steps seem to be OK, but the map and distance are way off.i dontbunderstand what happened!  Anyone else ever had this issue?

Yes, the same thing is happening to me.  The map shows me cutting thru woods and swamps when I walk in the road.  My mileage is .5-1 mile less than I do.
