HR tracking is useless

The HR tracking on my Inspire 3 is beyond useless. Every single day when I go out for a walk and my heart rate is around 80 the Inspire 3 thinks it's about 30 points higher.

Then when I try to test my max HR in the gym and my heart rate is around 140 the fitbit thinks it's below 100.

The only time it is accurate is when I am completely at rest sitting on the sofa which completely defeats the point of having it.

I've tried tightening it, loosening it, changing position. It seems like any kind of motion of the body just throws it off.

Same.  and when sitting it sends false reports of high rate, which I have checked and are clearly false.  Support is no help, and they are being super cagey about honoring the warranty.

Inspire 3 is adding steps, 1000ths of them, while riding a bike. Called support, answer was: never heard of this problem with the inspire 3. Please restart and try again. Next step will be, go back to factory settings. If this is by design why these answers? It is not normal to add steps while biking. No other smartwatch does that. Solve the problem and give us new firmware.

Step count is too high, counting steps when biking. 1000ths of steps.

Good to see you around the community @JVOGELS.

Thanks for sharing the inquiry regarding your Inspire 3.

I'm sorry to know and I understand how important it is for you to avoid these recorded steps while cycling; however Fitbit wants to give you credit for the exercise you put in during your physical activity.

My huawei smartwatch knows when i am cycling, walking, swimming, rowing etc. It doesn't add steps when i am busy with another exercise.  Adding steps when you do not make steps makes the fitbit useless.
