I walk the same routes at the same pace 5 or 6 days a week. In the summer with short sleeves, my average heart rate is typically 95 to 100 bpm. Since the weather has gotten cooler and I'm wearing a long sleeve t-shirt, the Fitbit is showing substantially higher heart rates, in the 110 to 125 range. I would appear that the long sleeves are affecting the heart rate reading though I'm not sure why. So the question is which reading is correct? I'm inclined to think the no sleeves reading is the accurate one.

Hi, @lmacmil , I can’t really think of any reason why your shirt length would affect your heart rate reading. Can you? I am guessing that this is unlikely to be significant and not relevant.
I would recommend carrying on noticing differences between workouts and considering what other factors might be affecting your heart rate.

What I was getting at was with short sleeves, nothing is in contact with outside of the Fitbit. With long sleeves, the shirt sleeve is touching and potentially rubbing against the Fitbit. I don't know if that would affect the contact between the Fitbit sensor and the wrist.
