Can someone please explain how my Fitbit can tell me I have signs of AF & give readings overnight which vary from say 38 to 184 on 14 occasions overnight but when I see the graph of my heartbeat for the day it shows no such variation. Am I missing something please

Certainly no expert here, but I just googled AFib only at night, and it does seem quite possible you are having AFib episodes only at night, perhaps triggered by sleep apnea.  I suggest you talk to your doctor about it.

Hello

Yes I know I only have episodes at night & am under dr for them. My question was how in two separate places on Fitbit app does it show different results.

I see.  I was thinking when you said graph for the day, I was thinking of day vs. night, but now I understand.  Only explanation I can think of is that to show full 24 hrs on pixel width of graph of phone graph, some subsampling is probably required. I have no idea how long AFib episodes would last, if perhaps they might be short enough to be missed by the subsampling.  Just a guess.
