How accurate is the calorie math?!

OK two days back to back. First day I burned more calories doing very little.

Second day I spent an hour shoveling dirt into bins and dragging them 100 feet or so and yet I burned fewer calories. (And walked fewer steps somehow as if I'd gotten taller)

Clip mode or wrist mode?  I.E. are you getting heart rate recorded?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

The calorie count is a running total from midnight to midnight. It looks like your screenshots for both days was at 6pm - on the second day - so you are missing six hours of calorie burn for that day, but have all 24 hours of the first day. Exercise matters, but you burn probably 70% of your daily calories just keeping the lights on and staying out of the grave.
