How do I meet a high cardio load target?

I have been set a cardio load target of 141. How do I meet this? I don't run but I do go for long brisk walks. So far today I've done a 37 minute walk, gone up and down the stairs many, many time and done a 10 minute aerobic video. This has only achieved a cardio load of 76. If it wasn't raining I'd go for a longer walk. I don't want to spend the rest of the day doing vigorous exercise.

The Cardio load/target function is basically worthless at this point in its development, IMHO. The transition between overtraining and undertraining and back again is almost a step function, and it is nearly impossible to get back on track in one day unless one has nothing else to do but exercise 7 days a week.  At best, the Cardio Load function can simply be used as an indicator for determining how much exercise to do on any given day.

Hi, @grebe42, welcome, you may find this new article of interest What are cardio load and target load? - Fitbit Help Center I apologise if you have already seen it. We all experience days when we cannot get the exercise we would prefer.

I hope this helps.

Thanks. I frequently feel that my Fitbit is ruling my life. It never seems
to be happy with what I do. It's cold and wet outside so I'll go back to
running on the spot and going up and down stairs!

Hi, @grebe42 , I can recommend daily swimming if you have a local swimming pool.

Cheers
