Hi,
I have read lots about people not getting their sleep stages and the various ways to facilitate this. However, my issue appears slightly different. I get my sleep scores but only when I don't sleep for as long. I have had my Inspire 3 for 3 weeks (time for it to settle down). When I have slept for between 5hrs 55mins and 6hrs 50mins I get my sleep stages. If I sleep between 6hrs 56mins and 8hrs 22mins I don't get my sleep stages.
What's going on? Anyone else noticed this? Anyone have any suggestions on how to make it work every time (other than getting up earlier every day!!!)
Thank you in anticipation.

I have looked for articles that relate to my specific issue and didn't find any, unless you know differently and can highlight a specific article or post?
Cheers

Hi, @revreg, The articles allow you to review how sleep is tracked and your settings in the Fitbit app. There are no general reports of the issue you mention and the Fitbit servers appear to be working normally, so the focus is your settings and how you are using your Fitbit. You will have noted you need to be "At rest" for at least an hour for it to track your sleep and the device needs to be snug on your wrist, your HR is the main data stream. Should you be wearing your Inspire 3 too loosely or you are a restless sleeper that may explain your problem. You do not tell us how frequently you do not see a sleep score. Have you tried changing the sleep mode (Normal/sensitive) as noted in the article? Have you set a sleep goal and schedule? You do not mention the make model or OS of your phone, if you are using an iOS phone you may find this thread of interest Start/End Sleep Session - Fitbit Community though it does not particularly mention your issue.
Are there any points in the articles (& the links) that are helpful?
Let us know by posting here again.
Cheers

It’s odd that your Inspire 3 only tracks sleep stages within a specific time range. Have you checked if a firmware update is available? It might also help to restart the device before bed. Some users have reported success by syncing their tracker immediately after waking. Hopefully, Fitbit will address this issue soon! My younger sister was struggling with her book report assignment, and she needed help understanding the book’s themes. I found Academized’s "buy book report" page

Thank you for taking the time to respond.
Most of the points you raise I was aware of. To answer your questions, I don't believe the Inspire 3 is too lose on my wrist and I'm not a restless sleeper (so my wife tells me). My Inspire 3 is connected to an iPhone. The Time Asleep Goal is set at 8hr 0min and I don't set a Target Sleep Schedule. When I look at the times it tells me I went to sleep and woke up, they seem pretty accurate. I have changed the Sleep Sensitivity from Normal to Sensitive and will see if that helps.
I have only had this Fitbit since 14th January this year. During that time I have had sleep stages when my sleep duration has been (all in hours and minutes) 5.50, 5.55, 6.14, 6.19, 6.30, 6.31, 6.32, 6.50 and 7.16. I haven't had sleep stages when my sleep duration has been: 6.56, 6.58, 7.00, 7.12, 7.27, 7.43, 7.44, 7.47, 7.57, 8.01, 8.03, 8.04, 8.10, 8.13 and 8.22. Pretty consistent therefore I'm assuming it's something fairly fundamental but I can't think what would create such a difference.
If I can't find a solution I'll just have to set the alarm and get up after 6hrs 45mins sleep!!!!
Thank you for your thoughts and trying to help.

Thank you for your support and trying to help.
I haven't tried a firmware update or a reset as I've only had this particular Fitbit for a month so assume everything would be pretty much up to date. If nothing changes I'll give it a go.
Best wishes
