I can't receive notifications

I have a new Inspire 3 that will not receive my phone notifications. It is replacing an old Xiami Mi Band that used to receive notifications fine. I carefully went through the steps of removing the old device and connecting the new one, but still nothing. I followed the steps in https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Inspire-3/New-Inspire-3-won-t-receive-notifications/m-p/5521183 but it didn't work.
