New Inspire 3 won't receive notifications

Hey there, I purchased theee new inspire 3’s for myself and parents. No issues setting up my mom or mine, however, my dads I’m having issues with. I went through the process and it seemed to work fine but he told me he wasn’t getting the notifications on his new Fitbit. I realized that he was connected to both his old Fitbit and this new one through Bluetooth. I removed the old one and the notifications stopped but they did not start on the new one. I went in and verified that all notifications are on in both the Fitbit setting as well as on the phone itself.
When I look at the Fitbit and scroll in the setting it won’t even allow me to turn the DND on or off it keeps it off at all times.
I even did a restart on the Fitbit and it still didn’t work.

Hi there, @Erika800. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. It's sad to hear that your dad's Inspire 3 is still not receiving notifications despite all the steps you guys already tried. I'll do my best to help you with this!

Since you found out that your dad's old Fitbit device was still connected when the Inspire 3 was set up, I'd recommend trying the following (once again) so we make sure that you guys are starting from scratch:

  • Unpair the Inspire 3 from the phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app and make sure that the old Fitbit device won't appear neither on the Bluetooth settings nor the Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that he may also have paired to his phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your dad's phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on the phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up the new Inspire 3 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart the Inspire 3.
  • Proceed to set up the notifications once again.
  • Once your Fitbit device is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair the Inspire 3 first to your dad's phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to the phone.

If the above seems to work, please try testing the DND mode. Keep in mind that you can't turn on do not disturb and sleep mode at the same time. For more information, see How do I navigate my Fitbit device?
