Inaccurate data on treadmill session, Inspire3

I have been using a Fitbit Inspire 3 for the last ten days or so. I did a one hour  session on the treadmill this morning walking 4.0 miles in one hour. My Fitbit recorded 2.92 miles. The data on an indoor track walk is just as inaccurate. I’m not new to fitness trackers. This is on my non dominant hand which is pumping in a normal way and band is appropriately fitted at the wrist.

Hello @Michelle_U and welcome to the Community.  I looked at your stats and I think your Inspire 3 is seriously undercounting your steps.  A good ballpark estimate is 2,000 steps per mile.  By that, I think your step count should be in the 8,000 range or higher.  I'm very familiar with how Fitbits estimate stride length.  You combination of steps and distance is consistent with a 5' 6" woman.  It's not the treadmill, because you see it with normal walking.

It sounds like you are doing everything right to track your activity.  Restarting your Inspire 3 might or might not help.  If it doesn't help, please contact Support for more help.
