When I tap on the screen of my Inspire 3, all I get is a bright white screen. I tried to restart, but if all I can get is a bright white screen, I'm not sure how to do that (the instructions for restarting seem to require a screen that is usable). I hold the buttons on the side, but still nothing but a bright white screen.

May I suggest you to restart your device as explained in the following help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
(Please follow the procedure involving the connection of your device with the charging cable).

Well, I changed the clock face through the app, but it made no difference. And, importantly, I can't restart my Inspire 3 in the manner as instructed because there is no actual clock screen, only the bright white screen.

Yes, I tried that second method as well (the first described method does involve the screen), and it did not do anything either.
