Inspire 3 - Nothing but White Screen

When I tap on the screen of my Inspire 3, all I get is a bright white screen.  I tried to restart, but if all I can get is a bright white screen, I'm not sure how to do that (the instructions for restarting seem to require a screen that is usable).  I hold the buttons on the side, but still nothing but a bright white screen.

I appreciate your message, and I'm sorry to hear about this issue regarding the white screen on your Inspire 3. 

I understand your feelings about this situation, and this is definitely not the experience we want for our customers. 

May I suggest you to restart your device as explained in the following help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
(Please follow the procedure involving the connection of your device with the charging cable). 

Try as well to change the clock face as shown here: How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?

Well, I changed the clock face through the app, but it made no difference.  And, importantly, I can't restart my Inspire 3 in the manner as instructed because there is no actual clock screen, only the bright white screen.

I'm sorry to hear that the clock face change made no difference. 
Just to confirm, the recommended restart procedure do not involve the screen, the steps are: 

  1. Connect your device to the charging cable. For instructions, refer to How do I charge my Fitbit device?
  2. Press and hold the buttons on your tracker (side buttons) for 10 seconds.
  3. Release the buttons. The tracker has restarted when it vibrates and the Fitbit logo shows up.

Yes, I tried that second method as well (the first described method does involve the screen), and it did not do anything either.
