Inspire 3 - Calories - Fitbit vs Aspire

My Inspire 3 is linked to the Aspire app, a food journal that tracks nutrition,  water, activity, and weight. Both show 3587 steps. Calories burned on Inspire 3 = 1889. Calories burned on Aspire = 179.  I don't know which one is correct but shouldn't they be the same?  Inspire actually seems too high for easy walking.

@JohnnyRow , thank you for your help.

@Talarene @Pickylou50 , Nice to see you here. Thank you for your reports.

If the number shown on the Fitbit matches the number in the Fitbit App, this means that the information was saved correctly into your Fitbit account.

Our web API and smartwatch SDK are open which means that the information shown on the other app , if different to the Fitbit app is caused by the programming on the other app, that is why Support cannot provide any information about 3rd party apps as they do not know how they are programmed.

Please keep in mind, that the Fitbit counts the BMR into the burned calories on an activity. More about this can be read here:

If you are talking all day calorie burn, 179 calories is obviously wrong.  But I know absolutely nothing about how Aspire figures calorie burn.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Thanks. I appreciate your response. Aspire seems to think it's a Fitbit issue related to the linking, so I guess I'll send a query to support.

I have the same issue. I have a Google Pixel watch it is tied to the Fitbit app and I use the Aspire app for food tracking. This has been going on since the start. I don't know where to go to get this fixed.  After a full on work out 90 min Fitbit says I have used 2,471 calories Aspire says 195. Which one is correct or are neither correct?

I talked to someone from Fitbit and their answer for every question asked was "We don't provide support for 3rd party apps."  Aspire says it's Fitbit issue so I'm at a loss.

@Pickylou50  You still haven't said whether Aspire is saying that is really 179 calories for all day.  Or are you saying Aspire 179 calories for one particular activity, and comparing that to all day for Fitbit.  If you are comparing apples to oranges, of course you can't expect the two apps to match.

I apologize for the confusion. I am not certain what the Aspire number represents.  I got a response to a previous inquiry about why the numbers don't match and their response was that we may need to resolve it with Fitbit.

I have sent another inquiry with very specific wording and haven't heard back yet. I am making the assumption the number is cumulative because individual activies are not listed. I am trying to find out from them exactly what I am comparing. Thank you for getting back with me.

Thank you for the explanation. I really have no concerns about the info on my Fitbit device and app. They seem to be in the ballpark.  I've submitted another inquiry to the moderator of my Aspire account and will let them it is not a Fitbit issue.
