The past few days when I log manually my treadmill walk, it's now adding extra steps.
It's like it counts 2x.
Say my treadmill walk was 3000, if I log it manually it's says 6000.
I've always logged exercise manually and now I can't without it adding the extra steps.
I restarted the app, I deleted it, I shut down my phone etc and it still won't calibrate properly.

I have a similar problem with my Inspire 3. I carry a 10 year old Fit bit One in my pocket. I know it is accurate for counting steps. Wearing the Inspire 3 on my non-dominant hand ALWAYS calculates twice as many steps. I don't know what do do either.

If you have your phone added as a Device in the App, the MobileTrack function that uses the accelerometer in your phone reportedly adds steps to the total count when it shouldn't. Removing your phone as a Device resolves that issue.
Someone on the forum also mentioned that using the HealthConnect App can add steps to the total as well, but that issue can reportedly be resolved with a setting in the HealthConnect App.

Hi @Nailtech24 and @TentLady ! Welcome to the Community !
@Bill_209 Nice to see you back, thanks for your advice !
In addition, here is a short explanation about MobileTrack :
MobileTrack uses the phone's sensors to count steps.
This is for when you have left your Fitbit at home (e.g. while charging). Please make sure MobileTrack is not activated.
It may happen that the steps recorded with the cell phone overwrite those from your Inspire 3.
In the Fitbit app, tap the devices icon (top left corner).
There you will see the devices linked to your account.
If you see the Mobile Device Active(Smartphone) option, tap it and remove it from the account.

I appreciate your message. About what you say, in order to have more information, you can take a look at these articles :

I hope it serves.
