Hey everyone,
I've been using inspire 3 as a start to getting used to smartwatch/band for tracking my fitness. Pretty new to this.
I noticed it taking "false steps" count today, while I was travelling by the bus. The roads were a bit bumpy, so my steps moved a little.
At the end of journey I noticed the steps count had hit over 3k in under 2 hours. Is it possible that this is a bug or a known issue with this tracker?

Hi, @SunsetRunner, welcome to the community, This article has a section on "Steps accuracy" How accurate are Fitbit devices? and a reminder to review your app settings. There are numerous reports of people driving, typing and engaging in other activities that generate "Steps" from the related arm movement. This article How to make your fitness tracker count steps more accurately - The Verge provides a third-party comment on the problem, it's not just "Fitbit".
If you have steps you want to remove (you can't add) this article How do I add, edit, or delete Fitbit data and activities? advises.
I hope this helps.
Cheers

Thanks for the information Gr4ndp4.
I just hope these trackers get better at their work, cause right now my ios health (without apple watch) app is giving a better reading on step count than the tracker.
Note - I'm not saying one's better than the other, one just happens to give more accurate data in my case.
Cheers. Take care, have fun and stay fit. 😎
