Inspire 3 Not Counting Exercise in App

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I am enjoying using my Inspire 3 but it appears not to be crediting my "intense activity" as exercise. I see my zone minutes but even though it seems to be capturing the intense activity, it doesn't close my exercise ring.  Can someone tell me if this intense activity counts as exercise.  I read in the manual something about 3 MET being the criteria but I don't know what that means.  Thanks.

Hello @02luvNona and welcome to the Community.  You need to track an activity with the Exercise app or by SmartTrack (Fitbit's auto-recognition feature) for it to count as an exercise.  SmartTrack "recognizes" high movement activity and can track: walk, run, outdoor bike, elliptical, sports, aerobic workout, and swimming.  There is a default 15 minute minimum for auto recognition.  It's possible that your activity wasn't meeting the criteria to get recognized.

These two Help articles more information.  How do I track my activity with my Fitbit device?  How do I track my workouts with my Fitbit device?

Fitbits that don't have heart rate monitors use METs (metabolic equivalents) to estimate calorie burn.  Fitbits that have heart rate monitors use use algorithms to estimate calorie burn.  Your Inspire 3 will use METs when you have it in the On Body mode and your heart rate when you have it in the On Wrist mode.
