Inspire 3 - Sleep Information Simplified

Since February 21, 2024, my Inspire 3 is only providing me with simplified sleep info. No score or heart rate or breathing info is being provided anymore.

The following conditions can prevent sleep phase recording:

- You record your sleep using the Fitbit app instead of the tracker's automatic sleep detection.
- The tracker's battery is almost empty when you go to bed (below 25%). This prevents the pulse from being recorded regularly.
- You use the metal bracelet while sleeping
- You sleep less than 3 hours.
- The bracelet is too loose or too tight on the wrist. You should be able to put your index finger between the bracelet and your arm without much resistance so that your pulse is recorded regularly and sleep phases can be recognized.

I have had the same issue since Feb 18. I’ve updated the software, checked my settings, restarted, and adjusted my band multiple times. What else you got?

Hi Mthel, I too have tried everything you listed without any success.  If you do get it figured out, please let me know here.  And I will do the same; its so frustrating.

@Mthel @Inspectorb3 , Thank you for your reply! Please try wearing the Inspire ,so that the heart rate sensors are touching the back side of your wrist. Here it's easier for the heart rate to be recognized. 

Please make sure that the Inspire 3 is on wrist mode and not on clip mode.

The band is def set on wrist mode.  Not sure what else to try but nothing mentioned has given me back my sleep number or breathing tracking as it had been doing until February 21st.

Same.  Sleep score stopped a week ago.  Tried all these fixes and restarting fitbit, plus deleting and reinstalling app.  The sleep score is why I pay for premium.

Got a sleep score this morning.  Don't really understand why it works now as I did nothing yesterday to fix it.  Just hope it continues to work.

Nope, that didn’t work either. I’ve had one night register the full sleep data in the last month, and I did nothing different to make that happen.

I still have had no luck, wishing others would chime in with ideas.  I can't believe we are the only ones not getting scores or breathing results while I sleep, which is why I bought the Inspire in the first place.

I've noticed a recent change in sleep recording as well. One night it didn't record any sleep phases at all. The sleep times and wake times aren't accurate anymore. I've relied on this for years, so this seems very strange.

We released a new app version (4.12) . Please make sure to update it. Keep an eye for a few nights and let me know if you are still receiving the simplified sleep record afterwards.

Hi Juan, 

I do know that I did recently update my fitbit due to a notification to do such and that's when it seemed like my sleep score stopped recording.  Can you please advise us on how to verify our current version?  and how to update if needed?

In the Fitbit app, tap on the settings icon (gear icon upper right corner) > Help & Support. 

You'll see below the title the Fitbit logo and the app version used.

Thank you Juan.  My version says 20001.194.91. I am confused as its nothing close to saying 4.12.

@Inspectorb3 , Thank you , it seem that you are looking at the Firmware update from your Inspire 3 .

Could you please attach a screenshot of what you see, following this path? 
Fitbit App > Gear icon  (upper right corner)  > Help & Support.  

So that I can see what you see on your screen.
