Hi, @Babs102 , welcome to the community. I must admit this is not a feature I use but Gemini tells us -

You can get voice cues for exercises on your Fitbit Inspire 3, but you must start the activity from the Fitbit app on your phone, not directly on the watch, and have the voice cues setting enabled in the app's exercise settings for that activity. These cues (like distance, pace) play through your connected headphones when you're using your phone for GPS tracking, though some users report syncing issues or that cues play from the watch speakers instead.
How to Set Up Voice Cues:
  1. Open the Fitbit App on your phone.
  2. Tap the + icon (or your profile picture) and then tap Exercise or Exercise Tracking.
  3. Tap the Settings/Gear icon for the specific exercise (like Run) you want cues for.
  4. Ensure "Voice Cues" (or "Play During Exercise") is toggled ON.
  5. Select the stats you want announced (distance, pace, etc.).
  6. Start the activity from the app to get the audio feedback through your phone/headphones.
Key Points:
  • App-Initiated Only: For voice cues, start the exercise in the app, not the watch itself.
  • Phone Connection Needed: The cues come via your phone's connection to your headphones.
  • Check Settings: Verify settings are correct in the app, as they can sometimes be buggy

I hope this helps.

Cheers

Unfortunately, I've done everything you've just outlined. And no matter what I try to do when I am walking my phone actually states " voice cues disabled ". Yet when I look at the app it says voice cues are enabled and the icon is turned on.  I've tried to problem solve this issue for several days and still can't seem to get it to work.

Unfortunately, I've done all of the above and it still says "voice cues are
disabled" both on the device and when I'm walking or running it says the
exact same thing. I just can't seem to problem solve this issue.
