Inspire 3 battery draining quickly

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just opened and started using my Inspire 3 (which was purchased a year or two ago for when Fitbit says it may be under warranty). Last night my battery was at 98% at 11pm, and at 7am it is at 63%! That is one hour of active use and the rest was sleep. WHY is the battery draining so fast? I have read forums - GPS is off; the face is not constant on; I don't constantly sync it; there are minimal things I use on the face...what else can be done because I can't charge this thing every day for 30 minutes...kind of defeats the purpose, doesn't it? Help!

Hi there, @kbunny226. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that the battery of your Inspire 3 is draining quickly. I understand your concern, I will do my best to help you with this!

As a first approach, please bear in mind that as all rechargeable batteries age, they deteriorate to some extent and an older device will need to be charged more often than a new one. The best way of minimizing this effect is to avoid deep discharges of the battery. To maximize the overall life of your Fitbit device's battery, ideally keep it between 20-80%.  Many people find that a daily battery boost works best ( e.g. giving it a 15 minutes charge while you are showering in the morning). To better assist you, please confirm that you've also tried all tips and recommendations provided in this help article Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?

Also, if you haven't done so yet, please try restarting your Inspire 3.

Hi, @kbunny226 , welcome, you may find this article of interest Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life? - Fitbit Help Center , I apologise if you've already seen it. If this was a "one-off" experience after the device had been dormant for a while may I suggest you charge it each morning for a few days to see if it improves.

I hope this helps, please post here again & let us know how you get on.

Cheers

Hi. I have the same problem. It isn't degradation as it was working find last week. All of sudden it went from 31% batter to unresponsive. I tried charging it and it has charged to 100% again but already the battery is draining really quickly. The watch is only 18 months old - is it still under warranty in the UK?

I am having the same issue.  It went from lasting over a week without a charge to lasting less than 2 days practically overnight.  This is not degradation.  This is the second fitbit in a row that I have had a major issue with in a short span of time (the previous one was just out of warranty and Fitbit wouldn't do anything about it).  There needs to be a fix for this or it goes in the trash and you will lose my business forever.  I have seen several threads with the same problem expressed by many users and no real answer given.  I have already tried resetting the watch and restarting the app.  😠  Not caring about resolving problems for your customers is a great way to tank your company fast.

I have almost the same issue, 1 week ago Fitbit was lasting multiple days but now it only last 6hours and that's when I sleep! Besides this my Fitbit screen is not waking anymore, has small yellow dots. I restarted it but it's even worse.

Hi, @AndreiBl, welcome to the community, Can you please provide more information? Is your Inspire 3 syncing with the Fitbit app on your phone (if so what battery SOC does it indicate?) May I suggest you try a restart again and let us know how long ago you got your Inspire 3? Note @MarreFitbit comments about battery life.

Please post here again & let us know.

Cheers

Hi, @gioena, welcome, you have the benefit of Fitbit's warranty, File a warranty claim for your Fitbit device - Fitbit Help Center Alternatively if you bought it from Amazon or another consumer retailer you may find their returns policy easier to use.

Hi @Gr4ndp4 , now my battery is at 59 percent, is syncing with the phone but the battery drains in a few hours. I don't know what you mean by SOC.

My Fitbit version installed is 63.20001.210.26, Battery Medium. I bought it 11 months ago(April 2024).

My main issue is I can't use the screen which has yellow dots, I restarted it several times (while charging hold for 10 seconds). I tried also changing the face clock, useless.

@MarreFitbit see the details above.

Thanks

Hi, @AndreiBl SOC = State of Charge, you are seeing it because your Fitbit app is syncing with the Inspire 3. You have the most up-to-date SW on your Inspire 3 and probably have the benefit of Fitbit's warranty & return policy, this depends on where you are and who you bought it from. See the link in my previous post for warranty claims. Do not delay, you may not have much time left.

Cheers
