Inspire 3 black screen

Hi Fitbit Support,

I'm having trouble with my Fitbit Inspire. The device is vibrating normally, but the screen remains black. I've tried the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Force restarting the device
  • Checking the charging cable and ensuring that it is 100% charged

Despite these efforts, the issue persists. The green light at the back seems to be ok. Please advise on further troubleshooting steps or if this issue requires a repair.

Hi there, @Saran08. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that the screen of your Inspire 3 is still blank. I will do my best to help you with this!

If you haven't done so yet, please try the steps below:

  1. From the Today tab in the Fitbit app, tap the devices icon at the top-left corner.
  2. Tap your Fitbit device image.
  3. Near the bottom of the page, tap Sync Now.

If the above doesn't work, please restart your Fitbit device once again as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device? Note: Restarting the device doesn’t delete any data. If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.

Thank you. I was able to briefly see the clock face after restarting my Fitbit, but it's now back to a black screen. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

@Saran08 Thanks for following the tips and recommendations I provided.

Since all the steps you tried didn't work, you have an Inspire 3 and report that the screen is not working, I need additional information from you that would best be shared privately. I’m sharing a link to a form for you to fill out so we can look into this further.

This form is only meant for you to use, so let me know once you’re done. Click here to get access to it.

This is a common problem with Fitbit devices, but it can be easily fixed.

Try hard restarting your device. Plug it into the charger and hold the buttons down for 10 seconds.

If this does not work, don't worry. It usually doesn't work to fix this issue. You can force restart your device by letting it run out of charge, and then charge it again. This should fix the issue.

Alright! It is at about 98% charge now, so it will be a few days until the charge runs out and will try force restarting again. Thank you.

Hello Fitbit support,

My fitbit display is still not visible. The following are steps I tried in the same order

1. I tried to force restart - did not work

2. Upon your advice I restarted fitbit connecting it to the charger - did not work

3. Also upon your advice I let the fotbit run out of charge, then connected to the charger and force restarted. - This worked for about 24 hours and then it's back to blank screen.

4. Tried force restarting and now that does not work either.

What do you think I might be missing? Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks!!
