Hi, @Fergusboy welcome to the community, was this your first attempt to log in to the app? The Fitbit servers seem to be working normally Fitbit Status Dashboard I recommend deleting the app & reloading it. Assuming you are using an Android phone (if you have iOS it might be a little different) Go to your phone settings>apps>Fitbit>force stop>clear storage>uninstall. If you have previously paired a Fitbit device with your phone go to connected devices & "Forget". NOW RESTART YOUR PHONE. Return to the Play store & load the Fitbit app. You must log in with your Google account - if you have more than one ensure it is the account you are using on your phone. Go to the login and try again.
