I have an Inspire 3, and it's tracking steps while not being worn and sitting on a table.
I have not worn it for almost two weeks, havent touched or moved it, no fan blowing on it, yet it says I'm doing steps. 3 of those days I wasnt even in the house, I was almost 200 miles away.
Ive been looking all over the Internet as to how to hopefully solve this issue, and I keep seeing the suggestion that it's doing that because of my moving my arm, except I'M NOT WEARING IT AT ALL. So, that suggestion will not help.
It's very frustrating that you cannot get an accurate step count using your product that we've spent good money for, becsuse I imagine when I DO wear it, the step count will be falsely inflated.
Can anyone please honestly try and assist me with this issue? Thank you.

Hi @MelSchafer. Welcome to the community forums.
Thank you for taking the time to share all this information regarding the Inspire 3 and for trying to fix it on your own. Sorry to know that you are having this situation.
I understand that you haven't worn the device for that time that it's recording steps. However, I'd suggest you please take a look at the Fitbit app, going to the upper left corner icon (device icons), scroll down and confirm if you see your phone icon. If yes, you'll need to unpair it, since this is a service active called "Mobile track" that consists in a service that allows you to count steps with your phone even if you are not using your Inspire 3. MobileTrack uses the phone's sensors to count steps. This is for when you have left your Fitbit at home (e.g. while charging). Please make sure MobileTrack is not activated.

I found the icon you suggested and unpaired the phone, I'll see if that helps. Thanks very much!
