Inspire 3 gifted to my 9yo daughter. She has a child's Google account linked to myself, so naturally fitbit linked to that. It seems that I cannot set up her to watch because she's listed as a child. Is there a way around this?

@Techbrentc there really isn't a way to fix this. The Inspire 3 is intended for ages 13 and up. There isn't a way to set it up for a child your daughter's age.

Hi. I'm having an issue to setup the Inspire 3 for my 14yo son. He already have an Google account that is connected into our family account. The issue is that I have installed the Fitbit app on his mobile phone and logged in with his Google account. After that the Fitbit app don't recognizes him as a 14yo. Rather than that it only show options for children under 12yo Fitbit models. I already canceled his account on Fitbit. But now I'm getting a wait time for about a month until he can login again. So, if there's no option to fix this, I'll have to cancel and send the Inspire 3 back to the seller and buy a smartband from another brand.

@miyabara If you take a look at this thread, it describes a workaround that someone found for a similar situation. I hope that will also work for you.

Hi Amanda,
thank you for the link. I'll try it and afterwards I'll post if it worked. Thanks again!
Best,
Dalton

You're right! But I also want to add that it won't work for a child OLDER than 13 whose Google account is still SUPERVISED in Google Family Link. Any Google account that is supervised can only be attached to a child's Fitbit ACE watch (per Fitbit Tech support). Good luck getting our supervised teenagers to wear a multi-colored child's watch!

Hi Amanda,
I tried to delete my son's account from the Family Link. Can't do it for now as he does have a lot of stuff on his phone and it would cause a lot of trouble to reinstall everything and even to configure all the apps again.
I believed that, as Fitbit is a Google company, it would work flawlessly with an android phone, but in the end, I can clearly see that both companies are still out of track to do a real good fine tuning with their apps and gadgets.
Unfortunately I'll have to take the hard step to return the Inspire 3 and get another smartwatch from Samsung or another brand that would not be so troublesome to configure for a real simple smartwatch to a teenager.
But, thank you so much for your support.
