Inspire 3
Heart rate measurement intermittent and inconsistent during workout.
I exercise on the rowing machine for a solid 30 to 40 minutes total duration at 26 to 28 strokes per minute rowing at a rate of 6,000+ meters per 30 minutes. In the past when I used my Polar heart rate strap, my heart rate would steadily build from the 80s to 150+. Now I use Fitbit Inspire and the heart rate drops during the workout randomly. For instance, it will drop from 140 to 85 and stay low for a few minutes and then shoot back up??? It goes up and down 6-8 times DURING THE WORKOUT.
Yes, I tried wearing the band higher on my arm where it’s in CONSTANT contact with my skin. Still doesn’t work.
Any suggestions (other than restarting it) before I return this device? It makes no sense to keep it if it’s NOT going to accurately measure the most important feature. Thanks in advance.

Welp, it never worked so I sent it back. Hope Fitbit can figure it out.

Tried restarting the device and it DID NOT work again. In fact, over 50% of my 45 minute workout was recorded below 90 bpm heart rate while I peaked at 167. Once again, makes no sense why it’s not working. It was on my arm several inches above my wrist. May have to return it so I can find one that works consistently.
