Hello, I took my inspire 3 off for a few weeks while my tattoo was healing. Now I’ve started wearing it again (about 3 days in) it reads my steps etc but it’s not reading my heart rate or tracking my sleep at all. I’m hoping I don’t need to restart my device. Can anyone help? Many thanks

Hi, @Pariswednesday , have no fear! Restarting your Fitbit won’t cause any data loss at all, and can fix many issues, so I would definitely recommend trying a restart whenever your Fitbit is not behaving as expected. It is always a first troubleshooting step. The instructions for restarting are here .
Re Heartrate tracking:
You also should check that your Fitbit is set to “On wrist” otherwise the heart rate is automatically turned off. On your Inspire 3 swipe down from the clock face and make sure it says “worn on wrist”.
You should also check in your settings menu that heart rate is turned on: swipe down until you come to the settings menu, tap to open, then swipe up to find heart rate and make sure it is on.
When the Fitbit is set to On Wrist and the Heart rate is set to “On” the green lights on the back of the Fitbit should be flashing. Are yours flashing? If not, try turning heart rate off, wait a moment, and turn it on again.
*Re Sleep tracking*
Your Fitbit will not give you detailed sleep scores with sleep stages until you have worn your Fitbit overnight for at least 3 days. It will need to detect your heart rate in order to give you this information, so it seems likely that your issues are connected. Once you get the heart rate detection working, and wear your Inspire 3 for at least 3 nights, you should get your detailed sleep information.
For more detailed information about how sleep tracking works, please see this help article .

Hi Julia,
Thank you for your answer and help.
I went ahead a restarted my device.
Worn on wrist was on, so was heart rate in settings. I did like you said and turned off waited a moment and the turned it back on, the green lights flashed and it worked, for about 5 minutes and has since been back to not reading heart rate again.
I tried the process again several times throughout the day and nothing. Tried again this morning and now no green flashing lights.
Any idea what I can do from here??
Many thanks

Now it’s still reading my steps but not logging or corresponding into my “hourly activity” at all either.
