Inspire 3 is not tracking my sleep times accurately

I wear my Fitbit on my left wrist which is my non-dominant hand. My sleep tracking shows I'm not falling asleep till 1:00 or 2:00 in the morning, when in fact I know I've been asleep since 9:00 or 9:30. I primarily sleep on my left side so I'm wondering if this has something to do with it

Hi there, @Sandi12760. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Inspire 3. I understand where your concern is coming from.

Have you tried restarting your Inspire 3? If not yet, please see How do I restart my Fitbit device?

As a first approached, I'd recommend to sync your Inspire 3 to the app after waking up. This will help to make sure that all your data is sync properly.

Also, note that your time asleep is calculated by subtracting your time spent awake and restless from your overall tracked sleep time. For example, if you slept 8 hours but woke up 2 times for 15 minutes each, your time asleep would be 7 hr 30 min.

Additionally, keep in mind when your body is completely at rest and you haven’t moved for about an hour, your Fitbit device records that you’re asleep. For more information, see How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?

To learn more about your time asleep in sleep stages, see What should I know about Fitbit sleep stages?

If necessary, you can edit your sleep logs. For instructions, see How do I edit or delete sleep logs in the Fitbit app?

Well then I guess my tracking will never be correct as I toss and turn all night during my sleep. I guess I will return it

I have the same problem. I restarted my inspire 3 and there is no change.

In my experience, it normally takes syncing the Inspire 3 device twice, back-to-back, each morning before getting the complete sleep results and then nothing changes the sleep results after that.

However, if a nap is taken in the afternoon and the Inspire 3 device detects and logs that event, that additional sleep time will be added to the overnight sleep time, which will increase the overall sleep time number.
