Inspire 3 not pairing with Android phone

My inspire 3 is taking forever to pair. How long should it take?

Hi there, @Cazza3068. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for troubleshooting this issue on your own before reaching out. 

Please confirm if you're following the steps suggested here:  Why can't I set up my Fitbit device?

In addition, I'd like to ask you to follow the steps below in the order shown: 

  • Unpair your Inspire 3 from your phone's Bluetooth and also make sure it's no longer connect to your Fitbit app. 
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Inspire 2 again.
  • If there is no connection or taking too much time, restart your Inspire 3.

I did this to get it set up. Restarting the Bluetooth after having turned it off. But since then, every time my Fitbit goes to sync, I have to turn off and restart the Bluetooth.. It does not seem like that is the way the sink is supposed to work. Please tell me if there's something else I can do to correct this problem or if the new Fitbit I just received is defective. Thank you.

@Pab12@RenL , Nice to see you both around. Thank you for your messages. 

Do you have access to another mobile device, where you could install the Fitbit app?

(e.g. borrowed from someone, an old device, etc.)

If so, install the Fitbit app on the alternate device and sign in.

Turn off the original phone's Bluetooth.

Try the setup with the other phone.

When the Inspire 3 has been set up.

Turn off the alternate phone's Bluetooth and try to sync the clock with the original phone.
