My wife's Fitbit has suddenly stopped recording her steps accurately. Today for example, we went out for a walk and her steps usually match mine closely, around 1900 steps. Add to that her normal around-the-house steps and she should be at least 2500. However, at lunchtime it was showing 1394. I took it and walked around the house and it moved up to 1505. However, once she put it back on her wrist, it went back to 1394. Any ideas?

Hi @Oldman1953. A warm welcome to the forums.
Thank you for providing these details about the behaviour of her device.
Please, let me know if you have seen any other feature that the device is not tracking.
I'd suggest you perform a restart on her device. See: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
Best AnswerI have had the EXACT same problem! My Fitbit shows a higher number, then by the end of the day, it records far less numbers...by a couple of thousand.. I actually caught it changing on the app. And yes, I have restarted the app/Fitbit band. VERY discouraging since it is a new Fitbit.

Mine has been having the same issue. I just replaced an old Inspire 3 with a new one yesterday. Both yesterday and today my app has been reading higher than the inspire just to later “reset” to match. Then it will randomly go back but a thousand or more.
