Inspire 3 not tracking steps accuately

I have found that if my arm isn't free swinging the Inspire 3 will not track steps.  So if your pushing a shopping cart, holding a cup of coffee, or looking at your phone while you walk, it doesn't track.  I have keep my Zip unit which is very accurate, and compared, the Zip is always higher, sometimes by many thousands of steps.  Contacting Fitbit has not been helpful.  I am not happy, and if your arm needs to be free swinging whenever you walk to be accurate, that should be noted in the product description.

Think about the difference for a minute.  Zip is on a clip; Inspire 3 apparently you are wearing on your wrist.  If your wrist is held steady pushing a shopping cart, thee is no way it can tell what your legs are doing.  That is true for all trackers on wrist.  If you want the step count accuracy of the Zip, I believe you can buy an optional clip for the Inspire 3, but then you lose the heart rate date, just as you got no heart rate data from the zip on a clip.  It's really one or the other:  lose a few steps or get all the heart rate based date, including sleep tracking, or put tracker in your pocket when pushing shopping cart to get steps then and lost heart rate data for a short time.

My wife wears a Lux, and hers tracks her steps while holding her arm tight against her chest, we tried that to show that her Lux tracks no matter what she is doing, such as pushing a wheelchair around the hospital as a volunteer for up to 4 hours in a day.  She always comes home with well over 10,000 steps.  I understand your point, but hers tracks, my inspire doesn't
