My new Inspire 3 won’t sync to my iPad.  Never had this problem with Charge 2 or 4.  Suggestions?

The problem seems to be that my Bluetooth on my iPad won’t connect to the Inspire 3.  Not sure what to do now.

What iOS version is installed on your iPad? Keep in mind, that you need iOS 15 or higher to be able to install the latest Fitbit app. 


Please try these steps, some of which you have already done, but the order is important:

  • Restart your Inspire 3 by connecting your device to the charging cable. 
    Press and hold the buttons on your tracker for 10 seconds.
    Release the buttons. When Inspire 3 vibrates and you see the Fitbit logo, the tracker restarted..
  • Please on iPad, go to Settings>Bluetooth, and remove all connections that exist with the tracker. (Forget, ignore or unpair device depending on the phone OS version)
  • Turn off Bluetooth and restart your phone. (switch off and on again).
  • When the phone is back on, turn on the Bluetooth again, but DO NOT attempt to connect to the tracker from here.
  • Go on the app. From here, try setting up the tracker as a new device.

I’ve done the steps in order that you recommended. My device is now connected to my iPad Bluetooth. The next step in the setup requires me to enter the 4 digits, but the digits aren’t displayed on my Inspire 3 screen. The screen is blank. Where do I go from here?
