Inspire 3 takes forever to sync

Does your Inspire 3 take forever to sync too? Just curious. I sync to an iPhone 8 plus. My Inspire 2 would sync very quickly but ever since I changed to  Inspire 3 it seems to take forever every time I sync. I already tried rebooting the Fitbit and turning Bluetooth on and off on the iPhone. Thanks.

Hi, @Diatoday, welcome, It takes me about 15 seconds to sync when I provoke syncing by sliding my finger down the "Today" screen & releasing. It sometimes takes longer but completes successfully. You need to be running iOS14 or newer and should check you have the latest update to the Fitbit app. If you do not have iOS14 bear in mind the latest Fitbit app update may not function as expected. You will find more information on Fitbit Supported Devices and iOS App - Fitbit Community  .

I hope this helps but if you are still stuck please post here again.

Cheers

Hi there, @Diatoday. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Inspire 3 before reaching out. @Gr4ndp4 Thanks for your help!

While reading your post, I was wondering if you did remove your old Inspire 2 from your Fitbit account and phone's Bluetooth settings?

It seems that your Inspire 3 cannot connect properly to your Fitbit app since you haven't yet forgotten the connection between your old watch and the phone's Bluetooth which would explain the connectivity issues you're running into. With that said, try the steps below:

  • Unpair your new and old Inspire 3 from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your new Inspire 3 again.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Inspire 3.

Hope that helps.

Hello, both of you.

OK, I’ve had time to go through all of those steps to try to see if it speeds up syncing inspire three to my iPhone 8+. Unfortunately, I still get the message that it’s taking a while to shnc and to hang tight. So I will just work on my patience. Thank you for trying to help.
