Inspire 3 update features I hate but can't get rid of

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Just recently received a message to update my Inspire 3 and did.  Now when I walk I get a screen that looks like it is recording my activity and pace for  race.  To make it go away I have to pause it and then finish.  I don't need nor want any of this.  I just want to log my steps.  I researched how to disable this but what I have been told doesn't match my app interface.  Anyone else having these issues and have any input as to how to disable this "new" feature? My app is running on a Samsung Android phone.   Thanks!

I don’t have Samsung Android But I do know if you watch is automatically started the exercise and you don’t know about it if you’ve stopped doing that exercise or you and it will stop it automatically but you will have to press press a button to say if yes you have stopped that it will vibrate when it happens or if you ignore through that bit it will turn off automatically This is also the same if you put the activity on now about it and then forget about it or automatically or automatically start you know about it you stop being excited and you forget to turn it off does work cause I have done it quite a bit of times with my I don’t know disable it like this helps.

Hi @Alpha3   That update added a feature that will turn on the Exercise app on the Inspire 3 itself.  This is completely different from the exercise settings on the app.  Fitbit added this to six Exercise shortcuts: walk, run, bike, elliptical, rowing, and spinning.  Please follow these steps:

  • Swipe left/right one your Inspire 3 screen to your Exercise app and tap on it.
  • It sounds like you never used this feature, so Walk is probably at the top of the list.  If not, scroll through the list, find Walk and tap on it
  • Swipe up on the tiny "^" at the bottom of the screen.
  • Look for Auto-start and toggle it off.

I recommend doing this for all six shortcuts, since you just want the basic stuff.  Some other daily activities can trigger the wrong shortcut.  Swimming will activate rowing.

Thank you.  I had the same question as Alpha3.  I guess I never checked out all of the features before, So this  tracking when exercising was annoying.   I just did the steps above.  I hope this works.

Thank you!  I find this info - that they are mostly auto on - to be very useful!!! I shut the unneeded ones off.

Thank you for the info.  I think I found the screen and disabled it, but only time will tell.   Wish me luck.
