Inspire 3 won't log my data

I'm so frustrated with my Inspire 3.  I've only had it a week and I'm thinking I made a big mistake getting it.  Since day one, it won't stay on to log my data.  Sometimes it works for 10 minutes and sometimes for 10 hours - it has never worked for a full day.  When it stops, I have to hook it up to the charger to get it going again, then sync with my phone. (It's already fully charged).  Meanwhile, during this down time, I lose all the data it's supposed to be collecting.  Today I went for a long walk, did some exercises and none of it was captured.  So am I doing something wrong or is the Inspire 3?  How do I get it to work like it should and be reliable?

I don't really understand what you mean by it "stopping".  It almost sounds like you mean the battery runs out, but you say it i fully charged so I don't understand.  I suppose you don't get a display.  Does it still transmit data to your phone?

It's like the Inspire 3 goes dead.  It won't turn on at all and it won't collect any data such as my steps.  The only way to to get it "active" again is by connecting to the charger, then I can see the clock, although the time is from when it stopped working.  After I sync it, then the time on the Inspire 3 updates itself but there is no data collected between the time it quit and this latest sync time.   I'm at a loss....

But does the phone app keep getting updated, such as step count?

And when you connect to charger, does the watch show that it is charged, or at or near 0% charge?

Nope, the app doesn't get updated.  That's why I was so frustrated --the whole time I was walking and exercising none of it was being saved.  I have a large gap with no steps accounted for between 11:00 and 2:00 today.

When I put the Inspire 3 on the charger it shows that it's 88% or more charged, never near the low end of not being charged.

I wonder if you have ever tried doing the sync without putting watch on the charger, to see if that updates the phone app.

So I just tried to sync (twice) without putting it on the charger first.  Both times it took about 30 seconds and then a message saying syncing was taking a long time and to hold tight.......    Then another message soon after that says it couldn't  sync my Inspire 3.

After swiping down again  the message "gathering your data" appears but my data never changes or updates.

I just realized you haven't mentioned trying a restart .

That's the only suggestion I have.

If that doesn't work, all I can suggest is contacting support or waiting to see if someone else has a better idea, but the restart might do it.  I've been watching these boards for several years and don't recall seeing a case like this before with any model.  Thanks for providing all the info I have asked for.

I did try restarting it too.  I even deleted my account and the set up to the Fitbit and removed the app from my phone.  It  didn't seem to make any difference.

Thank you for your time  -- I certainly appreciate all your help and suggestions.  😊
