Hi, @Doreen3, welcome to the community, you may find this article of interest Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?  . If you are still stuck please post here again with more information. Is your Inspire 3 working normally when charged? Does it charge beyond 48% or is it always 48%?

Just wanted to jump in, and add, if you are using a quick/fast charge adapter, try using a normal one or another USB port on a PC, Laptop. . 
Quick/fast charge adapters can damage your Fitbit.
