Today as I was going for a walk I decided to start an exercise in the Fitbit app. I have to admit I was really surprised to see that the app and the device isn't connected in a way so that the device starts when an exercise is started in the app. The device alerted me after a couple of minutes with a vibration so I could press the play icon on the device to start the exercise. This is a rather egregious oversight by Fitbit if you ask me. I see in the app that there are two exercises recorded. One from the app and one from the device. The two exercises are the same time but distance is off by 1.5km and calories are off by more than 400kcal.
Isn't the device and apparently supposed to be connected so that the device starts tracking when an exercise is started in the app? It did so with the Mio Slice is used before but that stopped charging after a few years so I got the Inspire 3 to replace it. Not happy with fitbit.
