Irregular Heart Beat

I started getting notices of irregular heart beats 1-2 times per week. This happened from 9/22 until 12/22. I received one on 1/2/23 and I have not received another one. I am happy that they have stopped but I am concerned that maybe the notifications have stopped due to some problem I am not aware off.

Hello @SCCWS and welcome to the Community. Tap on Discover > Irregular Rhythm notifications > tap on View Notifications.  The next page with your notifications has a Resources section with Frequently Asked Questions.  If you are receiving these notifications, Fitbit has these recommendations:

  • Talk to a healthcare provider.  Consider discussing the notification with a healthcare provider.
  • Don't change your medication or health regimen.  Talk to a healthcare provider before making any changes.

My husband had a stroke because he was in atrial fibrillation some of the time, but not all of the time.  He was very fortunate.  He got the best therapy available and fully recovered, totally back to normal.  This feature wasn't available then.  After living this for real, I recommend talking to your healthcare provider.

I did get an answer. Right after posting the problem, I had to fly back home for a funeral while  I was stying in Florida for the winter. It was my first time flying since 2014. As soon as I got off the plane, my "fitbit" sensed AFIB for the 1st time since early January. So the watch is working and I assume the plane must have caused the AFIB
