I’m a bus driver and it counts almost a thousand steps a day just from driving, is there a way to set up a drive mode? I’ve looked but unsure if I am missing something

Hi, @Busdriver137 , unfortunately there is not a “drive mode”.  There are, however, a few work around for this issue.  If you know the hours when the extra driving “steps” were added, you can log “driving”.  Driving is built into the data base and logging driving will cause the steps detected during driving to be suppressed.  Here are the instructions for logging driving.

  1. Open your App.
  2. On the Exercise tile, tap the + icon

and then choose Log or Log Previous.
  3. Type  Driving into the search box. Make sure the exercise details overlap with the time period your device logged the unwanted steps or floors.
  4. Tap Add or Log it. Your steps, floors (if available - the Inspire 3 does not count floors) and calories burned will decrease for the time period you specified.

Another option would be to charge your Fitbit while driving.  Your Fitbit will not detect or add steps (or floors, where available) while charging.

Finally, and the simplest option, is to tuck your Fitbit into a hip or chest pocket - anywhere near your core.  You are unlikely to get false steps counted while wearing your Fitbit on your body instead of your wrist.  Your inspire 3 has an “on clip” option which will also turn off heart detection and save battery when it is not worn on the wrist.

I hope this helps.  Welcome to the forums!
