In addition to the problems with incorrect heart rate and activity level stats since the update that I reported in my previous post of 8/18, I’ve now seen another bizarre event - random “Spinning” activity results recorded when I am not engaged in that activity (I’ve never used “Spinning” to record my fitness activities). This has happened two times this week:
1) Yesterday, I was recording my “Exercise” activities, which once again reported results that were inconsistent with previous “Exercise” results prior to the firmware update a couple of weeks ago. In addition, about 15 minutes of that same session were recorded as “Spinning”, even though I didn’t change the activity from Exercise to Spinning. Even more bizarre: the 15-minute session time for the Spinning session overlapped the last 15 minutes of the same approximately 60-minute Exercise session.
2) Today, I was not engaged in any specific activity (I was wearing my Fitbit but not exercising at the time), but when I synced a 30-minute Walking activity from this morning, another “Spinning” activity again randomly showed up, this one about 4 hours after the Walking activity.
I’m about ready to ditch my Fitbit and replace it with something that works. Any suggestions for a more reliable replacement tracker?

I'm very unhappy with the latest update and wish I could go back to the previous version of firmware. I hope Fitbit fixes this soon. My swimming, biking and walks were auto recognized without any issues before. Now when I swim, the device insists that I have been doing an elliptical exercises and won't allow me to update the activity session.
This update is trash. Fitbit please fix!
