The new graphics to illustrate sleep data displays in a bar graph that is unreadable and hard to decipher. The previous version had a solid background with easy to view bar graphs and comparative data. The new version is unacceptable. We would like to return to the previous display. Is there a way to do so?
If your device is functional, scroll down to and tap 'settings' on the screen. Then, scroll up to and tap 'device info'. Finally scroll up to and press 'clear data' for at least 10 seconds, which should complete the Factory Reset of the device.
If your device is not functional, plug the device into the charging cradle and then press/hold both side buttons for at least 10 seconds, or until the screen blanks, which should complete the Factory Reset of the device.
Google is reportedly aware of the missing Benchmark data series bug in the app, but they chose not to fix the bug in the latest V4.15 app update.
Hopefully, they will fix this bug in the next V4.16 app update.
Did this, now it tells me to download the Fitbit app on my device. It’s already on my phone but Fitbit is frozen and won’t sync or move past that command.
Best AnswerGetting the Inspire 3 to successfully BT pair with your phone can get a bit convoluted.
Now try uninstalling the app, restarting the phone and installing the app again.
Best AnswerPerforming a Factory Reset will only recover the device from situations where a basic restart of the device doesn't work. It will not return the device to the state where the previous sleep data were being displayed.
The User Interface can only be changed with an update to the app software and/or device firmware, and it appears that Google isn't really listening to what customers are actually saying regarding the UI, because nothing is being improved.
We can't expect to see any improvements to the UI, or the return of the missing detailed sleep cycle data and heart metrics (typically Breathing Rate, HRV, and SPO2), until Google releases another update to the app software and/or the device firmware to fix those issues.
I definitely can't, but I'm fairly sure that the moderators know what's going on regarding the release dates for software and firmware updates.

Best AnswerGoogle is promoting their Pixel Watch 2 as a sleep tracking device that uses the Fitbit app, but I don't know if it works any better to track sleep than the Fitbit devices do.
It doesn't sound like a good business plan to acquire Fitbit and then let the extensive and loyal Fitbit community languish with devices that have obvious performance issues that could be easily fixed with a software and/or firmware update, so I will remain cautiously optimistic that Google will step up and do the right thing here.
@SunsetRunner Completely agree with you!

The sleep feature is really the ONLY reason I still use Fitbit. The new display doesn't even have something as simple as little tick marks on the bottom to show hours...now you have to truly guess at the times things occur. Also, my item is very inaccurate...shows me in light sleep when I'm wide awake...stuff like that.
I'm close to just chucking Fitbit and getting another item just for sleep.
If you choose to toss the Fitbit device for another one, it would probably not be advisable to spend your money on a Google Pixel 2 watch, based upon the performance issues and lack of support for Fitbit devices that we've seen since Google acquired Fitbit.
