The new graphics to illustrate sleep data displays in a bar graph that is unreadable and hard to decipher. The previous version had a solid background with easy to view bar graphs and comparative data. The new version is unacceptable. We would like to return to the previous display. Is there a way to do so?
I am curious if this "upgrade" was part of a larger assimilation of Fitbit within the Borg of Google. In addition, it would seem that Google is writing off a huge percentage of their older Fitbit users since many are not interested in ONLY steps but perhaps primarily in sleep quality. This downgrade makes it more difficult for older users to track sleep.
I just bought a new Versa 4 because my old one bit the dust. The sleep tracker was the main reason I got a FItbit to begin with. Now I've shelled out another couple hundred bucks and they changed the sleep graph and I HATE it. If I had know they were going to do this I wouldn't have bought it.
Agree. The new graph is hard to read and is very cluttered. I also don't like that I can't edit my sleep times anymore. It always counts the time after my alarm close goes off and I lay in bed awake as light sleep...so I used to edit that to reflect my correct times and now I can't edit anymore. The previous sleep Stat system was more user friendly.
I was really disappointed with the new graphics, particularly as someone with sight problems. I could easily see the old blocks of colour and bought fitbit to check Rem sleep and my sleep score etc. For 2 days now I have no data at all, nor do I have any heart rate data etc. I'm considering buying an alternative product after many years as a fitbit user
Absolutely hate the new design view of the sleep. How come I didn't get a vote? Why don't you give us a choice between this new design and the classic design. I want the class design better. Much easier to read and understand.
I'm hear to say the same thing as everyone else. I have to log into the browser now to read my sleep data. I cannot read the data on the app. I'm working with a wellness coach and tracking my sleep is crucial. I like the new colors of it, but that is all I like.
We need to bombard them with complaints. I just did. Reset the watch and said it should work tonight but I have my doubts. Will call back. I'm going to CX the premium service if not repaired. They acted like I was the first to complain.
We went through the painful Google Customer Service troubleshooting experience trying to get three Inspire 3 devices that I purchased for my wife to return detailed sleep cycle data/graphs and missing heart metrics (typically Breathing Rate, HRV and SPO2).
This went on for weeks and we eventually had to return all three devices, because the Google CS team appears to have no clue how to 'fix' this product performance issue. Therefore, when they run out of scripted troubleshooting things to try and the problem still persists, they simply tell you to visit the fitbit community forum to let other customers help you and then stop responding to emails from that point forward.
My Inspire 3 device works just fine, so go figure.
Don't ask me how, but my old sleep graphics in my app are back. I'm afraid it may not last but crossing my fingers.
I had to get a new Charge 6 since my old charge 4 went dim. Complained to support and they gave me the 35% discount that others have gotten from Google bricking their old fitbit with a botched "upgrade". (Not replaced for free like my old Google Home bricked by a botched upgrade, but what the heck.) Anyway, after re-starting the app and associating the fitbit login with a Google login, it works like it used to. Weird, since I didn't reload the app or approve an app upgrade.
Interesting. Maybe the new device running with the Factory firmware that it shipped with works differently with the app than it would running with the latest firmware version?
You'll have the answer to that question as soon as your new device updates to the latest firmware version.
The reset did not work. I will call with my ticket number today.
How do you reset?
Best AnswerMine actually doesn’t even show the benchmark. I can choose “Benchmark” but it only shows the bar graph of my sleep that night. It doesn’t include a benchmark to compare it to. The graphics of the sleep stages for the night are horrible and unnecessarily difficult to read. WHY change what was so much better? WHY mess with something that was working?
