Should I buy a Fitbit?

Hello - I live in the US so I think that fitbits will be around for at least two more years(?). Wondering if it’s worth it to invest time and money into an Inspire 3 at this point?  Thoughts from the community?

What do you want it to do?  The Inspire 3 has lots of capabilities but some work better than others.  If you read the threads on this forum, it's mostly complaints but in my experience, satisfied people do not post much on internet forums.  I am happy with mine but I got it free with my health insurance.  I use it mainly to record my exercise (steps, heartrate, time, distance).  I tried sleep tracking but I didn't feel it gave me any information I found useful.  I am not using many of its capabilities and that may be why I'm happy with it!  If you've never had a fitness tracker and not sure if you want or need one, there are less expensive options available that will do the basic stuff.  I had one from Amazon and probably would have stuck with it if the Fitbit had not been free.  I will say the Inspire 3 is more comfortable, nicer looking and has a better display than the cheap tracker I had.

Thank you for your feedback. I have an iTouch that was cheaper, but it’s
messed up now and won’t update or synch with my phone no matter how I’ve
tried resetting and uninstall/reinstall the app on my phone. Your response
was helpful. 👍

@FittJanetI have the Inspire 3 and expect it to last at least two years. Why not try it out and see what you think. Return windows are longer this time of year and you can try it and if you're not happy, return it. You'll probably like it. As you can see, these forums are friendly and helpful, so you have a place to come with any questions.

@lmacmilI'm with you. The Inspire 3 has more bells and whistles than I will use, but it's a good fit for me.

I would not buy Fitbit. The experience I have had with the inspire and charge has been horrible. GPS not connecting, had 2 devices replaced in accurate HR monitoring. I’ve used them for 3 years and just ordered a garmin. After today’s run, I’ve had it with Fitbit. The user interface on the app has gone downhill significantly the last 2 years as well.
