1. Breaks a night into 2 stages for no reason, bunch of time is missing in the middle.
2. Sleep start 2:37 , end 7:27, asleep 3hr 11min , awake 40min , rest of 59 minutes is missing.

I've noticed something similar. Sometimes if I wake up and go back to sleep, it cuts off and doesn't record any more. But sometimes it just notes I was awake for a few minutes and records the rest of the night.

I noticed it records polyphasic sleep (with long interruptions) if the second stage is longer than a set time (3 hours I guess).
If I wake up early in the morning, stay up 15 minutes, go back to sleep one hour, then it usually won't record the last hour of sleep.
Maybe the algorithm should contain an option for naps, and allow to treat polyphasic sleep as successive naps.

As a sequel to my previous post, this is what happened today, which partly corrects the above.
Tonight's sleep was interrupted for a substantial time, from 5 to 6:20 I believe, and then I went back to sleep until about 8 am.
This morning the algorithm only recorded the first phase of the sleep, a pretty short one with a corresponding low sleep score.
Now, afternoon, just after having opened the app, I noticed that the algorithm has made further elaborations, joining the two phases of the sleep and considering it a single, polyphase one, with a longer effective duration, even though a long wake stage (one hour 20 minutes). I'm going to paste below the definitive plot of sleep duration.
Sometimes it does it, other times it doesn't, but today it was OK. I still wish there was a 'nap' capability to record short diurnal naps and adjust the sleep score accordingly.

I spoke with Fitbit via X (the app formerly known as Twitter) late last week, and they suggested that I not only restart my Inspire 3, but Clear User Data and re-pair my device with the app. I did do that, and so far it's been working very well. It even documented a nap I took yesterday evening! It was under an hour so it wasn't very detailed, but it did document it.
