I am having problems with sleep recording since the last update. Even though I know that I’ve had a good night’s sleep, my Fitbit claims I’ve been awake. As an example, last night it claims I woke up at 3:27 and only recorded 3hrs 42 mins sleep. This is completely inaccurate. I’m not doing anything different with wearing the Fitbit to bed. Anyone else encountering the same issue?

I too am experiencing issues with sleep tracking data. I had periodic errors in sleep recording before the latest update, but they were likely due to wrist strap tightness. Wrist band adjustments suggested in the help docs usually improved the tracking accuracy. But the app updated for me about 4 days ago and I've now had 2 consecutive nights of unrecorded sleep data. The abbreviated version recorded without the sleep pattern detail with heart rate and blood oxygen variations. I’m very interested in the blood oxygen graph because I stopped using a CPAP machine since I lost 60 pounds and that graph shows data indicating whether or not I should still be using it. Bummer.

You’re not alone. I also haven’t had sleep data record for several days since the last app update, and I similarly rely on this data to supplement the information I get from my CPAP machine. I hope they’re able to resolve this quickly because it’s the primary reason I use my Fitbit.

Before considering other options, please keep in mind that there are some factors that may prevent your tracker from recording your sleep. Please make sure of the following:
If you haven't done so already, please try to complete a restart procedure following the steps listed here.
In addition, please wear your device on your non-dominant hand and monitor it for the next few days.

I haven’t been able to get any sleep tracking data for the last few nights either, and my mother hasn’t for weeks now. We’ve cleaned the watches, updated the app, restarted, all to no avail. It seems related to the new app version?
