Steps count on app doesn't match device even after syncing

I updated my device on 4/12 and now I'm having an issue where my steps count on the device doesn't match the steps count on my phone app (android) even after syncing several times.  Right now my device lists 10,174 steps but phone app lists 10,404 after about 3-4 sync attempts.  I noticed the mismatch earlier in the evening as well.

Commenting here because I’m having the exact same issue. The discrepancy on mine is only by about 100 steps, but the app on my iPhone is showing higher than my device. I also updated very recently, and I’m just noticing it being so off even with multiple sync attempts today. I’ve tried disconnecting and reconnecting Bluetooth, restarting my phone, and restarting the app, all to no avail.

I have the same problem and when i try to sync again the number on my phone goes up even more.
