Stopped receiving sleep score -- Inspire 3

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've had my Inspire 3 for about three weeks. After the first night, I began to receive a sleep score. I haven't changed anything about the way I wear the device, but five days ago, I had a night when I didn't receive a score; the next night, I did get a score, but since then, I've had four nights without any sleep score. The app reports that "Your tracker couldn't get a consistent heart-rate reading while you slept." I've tried restarting the Fitbit and cleaning the sensors. Again - I haven't changed the way I was wearing it, but it seems to no longer be accurately reading my data. The reason I purchased the Fitbit was to track sleep, so this is very frustrating. Any further ideas?

*Update* I did a few more rounds of logging out of the app, restarting the device, and clearing the app cache, and this morning, I had a sleep score again. I hope this means it's fixed!

If the issue is inconsistent heart rate detection it is unlikely that tweaking the settings you mention will make a difference.  If the problem returns it might be worth trying to alter the snugness of your band (try it one notch tighter or one notch looser) and where it sits on your wrist, to see if that helps keep the HR detection more consistent.

Hello, I am having this same issue! I have tiny little wrists and I'm thinking maybe that's the problem! I rarely ever get a sleep score and I have had my device for about 3 weeks now. I wore it one night tighter but on the inside of my wrist instead of the outside, and I finally got a good score... the next night I wore it the same way and nothing! Sometimes it senses two different sleep logs in one night.. I think it's after me getting up to pee early in the morning. What the heck?

Any luck with yours??

Thanks!

I found if the Fitbit is not tight on my wrist, or I don’t get enough sleep to register I receive the same error message.

After I posted, I logged out of the app on my phone, cleared the app cache, restarted my device, and logged back into the app. (TBH, I might have done this more than once, hoping that it would change the previous night's results!) The next day, I had a sleep score again, and I had another reading this morning. Like @inc1961 , I wonder if part of the problem was that I was sleeping so poorly that the device couldn't figure out that I was sleeping. I do think that clearing the cache might have helped to reset things so that it started registering my sleep data again. Fingers crossed, it's fixed for good. Good luck with yours!

I have had mine for just 2 weeks and have only gotten one sleep score.  I get the bar graph every night that shows sleep, awake and restless times but no score.  Only 1 time (I think it was the  11th or 12th night) have I gotten the graph that shows awake, light sleep, REM sleep and deep sleep along with a score.  And that night didn't jive at all with the data I got from the other nights (it showed way more awake time).  I'm about ready to take it off at night.  I don't really do anything with the data and I don't notice any difference the next day no matter how much it claims I'm awake.
