To update my Inspire 3 from firmware 188.58 to 194.91 or not? Right now my Inspire 3 is working fine and I am reluctant to update the firmware in case there are issues with it. It would be great to get the general consensus. Does it resolve any key issue you were having? Did it introduce any bugs?
What is your recommendation... update or don't update?

It looks like the answer may be to not update after following the pinned "Inspire 3 Firmware Update 194.91" thread. It appears there are a number of challenges... such as sleep splitting, erratic heart readings, zone minutes off, syncing issues, watch no longer working, etc.

Hello, @Randquest Welcome back to the forums.
Thanks for letting me know your doubt in regards to updating or not your Inspire 3. My best recommendation would be to update it, so you can get the best out of your Fitbit Inspire 3.
You can find the changes of the last update in this article, if you'd like to know more about this.

Thanks for response. The article only talks 188.58 and not 194.61 and only at a very high level.
Reason for post is that I have seen others comment on having issues after update and have made comments that they wished they had not done it. I am hoping to confirm if the bugs have been resolved or not and whether it is worth the risk or not of doing the update.

It seems the update currently rolling out is the 194.91.
I got it few days ago. Only one new watch face but all activities and the recovery are on the band.
seems working smoothly so far

Great info... so the version has been updated from the version I saw comments about.
Could you expand on what you mean by.... "all activities and the recovery are on the band." Do you no longer select just 6 excercises that show up? If you don't pay for premium, is there an option and/or does it automatically not show recovery on the band?

Don’t update! My Inspire 3 won’t sync anymore since I updated the app. I keep having to do a hard reboot, it syncs once, then stops working.

Just to confirm... your sync issue surfaced just with updating the fitbit app or was it a combination of the app and updating the Inspire 3 firmware? I have been using the latest app and not experiencing any sync issues, though my watch is still at 188.58.

Hi there, I too received an update. In the same boat wonder if you ended up updating? I would update, but if I’m not mistaken it had read something about new data collection. I may have clicked out too quickly to fully read at the time. Trying to see where the update disclaimer and or feature notes is.

Just to make sure... are you asking about the Fitbit app update or the watch firmware update?
I did end up with the updated app as my phone is automatically set to update apps. It is very different from the previous app. One big pain initially was the battery percentage missing, but is back. There are other post of challenges, but has worked ok for me.
I have not done the firmware update. I never was able to find any information of what I would gain going to the new version. My watch is currently working and I fear doing the firmware update could change that. I also came across other posts where people did have challenges and indicated they wish they had not done the update. I was hoping in this thread to find out if still any challenges and what would be gained.

My wife and I both got the firmware update a week ago. No problems whatsoever.

Thanks... I was seeing last few message in the main thread indicating made their fitbit non-functional and crash so helpful to see has worked for others too. Unfortunately that thread has a lot of posts about the app update too and no information on really what is in the update other than 1 new clock face.

Not much changed in the last update, but in 194.61 a new clock was added, you can now see all workouts in a row and if you have Fitbit premium you can see recovery score on your watch and that is now available to more people . I think that's all.
